We lost Roscoe recently and wanted to thank those of you who generously donated to help with Roscoe's treatment costs, he lived well beyond his diagnosis and his quality of life was excellent. I am devasted to have lost him, but so grateful for the time he enriched out lives.
We have a new Basset, BJ and unfortunately he too has some serious medical problems. He urgently needs a full dental and a thorough ear cleaning to see if that is why he doesn't seem to hear us. He also has a lump we need to get biopsied to see if it is cancerous. Any amount you can donate would so greatly be appreciated, this time of year donations are so hard to come by and we know everyone is struggling but without you we can't save any of these animals that through no fault of their own have ended up being given up by their families. Please help with whatever amount you can, we thank you for caring!!
Please help us by placing this widget on your site, click the + and copy and paste the code on your website, that way people can donate from your webste too ... thank you so much!!

Have a heart and donate in my name for the pug rescue. Roaxanne, a 3 1/2 year old fawn female, she was a sweet lovable pug and any donations in her name will help with our vet bills so we can rescue more pugs in need. Roxanne thanks you and we thank you.
Prissy Girl
Prissy Girl crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on 9/08/2006 Rest peacefully our little pug angel.
She lived a long, happy life with her family and passed away peacefully in her sleep. Her mom says, "She was the best girl in the whole world. There will never be another one like her."
Scooby
Scooby was one of our special fosters that found a great home and enjoyed being cherished. He developed a cyst which was removed and Scooby was stitched up and sent home to recuperate. His stitches came loose. We took him in to get them restitched, but they noticed his cyst was already growing back. So they decided to take a closer look and while he was under anesthesia Scooby went into cardiac arrest and we lost him. He is greatly missed both by his new Mom and us. Heaven has a special angel named Scooby! We Love & Miss you Scooby ...
Hanna
Hanna - Rest in peace little angel Passed away January 13, 2006
Our little angel Hanna passed away suddenly after a painful battle from injuries that led to a lung infection. She put forth a tireless effort, and looked up at us as we gave her a last kiss. Our hearts are broken, but we know you are now at peace.
Bugs, a.k.a. "Tank"
"Tank" was born hydrocephalic and with a congenital heart defect. The breeder couldn't sell him and didn't want to spend any money to help him so she was going to have him put to sleep. I intervened and told her that I wanted him. She gave him to me and his treatments and medications began. His hydrocephalus never worsened (much to the amazement of my previous boss, "Tank's" veterinarian) and while he was here he lived a happy, healthy lifestyle for a little guy with a heart defect. This past May my little "pug-angel" fell ill from the heart defect and I had to prove my love and my loyalty to him. I had to make the decision that we all dread. The entire veterinary staff of Colonial Heights Veterinary Hospital took a moment to be with "Tank" when he went to be with God. I held him in my arms while he was euthanized. I miss him very much, but I feel so lucky that God chose me to have "Tank" while he was here on earth. I couldn't have received anything that would have been more precious to me! ~ Jen Smith
